today marks a momentous occasion. in my life, at least.

today, i smoked my last ciggie. and drank my last cup of coffee.

the coffee and ciggies quest has finally reached its pinnacle.

to celebrate the occasion, schmuck and i went to starbucks, where schmuck treated me to a latte. my last. *sigh* it was the perfect night. the stars were out. the wind was cool. with a cup of hot latte on one hand, a ciggie on the other, and schmuck sitting beside me, i couldn't ask for more at that moment except maybe another new pair of shoes .

and so i bid you adieu, dear friends ciggie and coffee. we shared some of the best times in my life. you have seen me through my ups and downs. parties have always been more fun with you around. you jumpstarted my day when i'm feeling sluggish and lethargic. you calmed my nerves on those days when the stress level is high. you have even seen me through several hangovers. i shall miss you desperately. and though it pains me to have to let go, i know you understand my reasons for doing so.

perhaps in the distant future, our paths shall cross again. but today, i shall say...rest in peace.
